VBS camp began in the summer of 2011 with two churches from East Texas..White Oak Baptist and White Oak Community Church. They assembed a team comprised of about 10 people specializing and designing a camp that would reach ages 1st grade through 6th grade. The camp focused on a 5 rotation system between Bible Story, Scripture Memory, Crafts, Music and Recreation and ending the week with a church service presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Each year there is a VBS theme planned and the camp built around that theme. In the past years we have had the themes of Creation to the Cross, Faster-Stronger-Higher, Lifeguard, and Heroes of the Faith. Along with the VBS we also work with the student interpreters and speak at the TKS Graduations. Each year brings a different blessing as we watch the camp grow in numbers and especially seeing Christ growing in the life of the children.
