The 10th grades examination took place from 3rd till 7th of October. Throughout the week students had to wear an appropriate clothes to the profession given to them week before. Also they had to be tied together in couples, do various kinds of exercises, perform in a fashion display, but the culmination was their performance called “We after five years”. After that they had to go through final difficulties and to make an oath. In the end 10th grade and 12th grade had a fellowship together.
On the 30th of September Talsi Christian school celebrated Teacher’s day. Our teachers had a chance to return to Soviet times, once again become a student and experience traditions of that time. The event was organised by TCS Student’s council. Teachers were taken to Laidze’s school in old cars. Our teachers had their shoes and clothes checked before entering the school, where they had to remember special marching and singing. They had lessons of music, biology and politics and noone could escape the Health inspection. After that, they returned back to out school and time where they had a celebration meal. Teacher’s day turned out to be a day full of joy and laughter.
PhotosIn the end of September there was a Mikelis day market in TCS. Students from the 1st till 4th grade offered all kinds of sweets just like in the best restaurants, leaving lunch tables more empty than usual, because everyone wanted to buy some homemade snack. The place was decorated by the youngest students, they tried out having their own business and receiving their first money. The market definately made the day brighter and sweeter for everyone in TCS.
PhotosIn the beginning the event of first September took place at Talsi Lutheran church, where people were spoken to by Maris Ludvigs, Inguna Gruznina and Eric Dennis, a pastor from Oklahoma.
